Cedel Evans - winner of the 2011 Tour de France - lifts his bike in triumph in front of the iconic Arc. Help the Hospices are offering you the chance to represent your club and get that winning feeling.
Football fans from across the country are being urged to represent their club in The Arch to Arc bike ride from 14 to 17 June 2012, linking Wembley with one of Europe’s most iconic landmarks.
Supporters will cycle from Wembley Stadium to the Arc de Triomphe to raise money for Help the Hospices, The Football League’s Official Charity Partner for the 2011/12 season.
Help the Hospices is the charity for hospice care, representing and supporting more than 200 local hospices. The charity champions the very best care for everyone facing the end of life.
Help the Hospices works with hospices and other organisations as they strive to grow and improve hospice and palliative care throughout the UK and across the world.
Greg Clarke, chairman of The Football League, said: “The Arch to Arc bike ride is a chance for loyal fans to show their true colours and make their club proud.
“The money you raise along the way will enable hospices to keep caring for 360,000 people each year, including patients and their friends and families. That’s enough to fill Wembley stadium four times over.”
The 244-mile journey will take participants through English countryside and French vineyards and villages, before making a triumphant finish at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
